Registering your website for Google reCaptcha

Get rid of scammers and spammers by utilizing Google reCaptcha on your forms.

Why Google reCaptcha?

Google reCaptcha provides an efficient and elegant way to prevent your WP Full Stripe forms from being spammed by bots.

You can secure inline forms and the “Manage subscriptions” page by using Google reCaptcha. (Stripe has a built-in protection for popup forms)

This article explains:

  • How to register your website for Google reCaptcha
  • How to configure the reCaptcha API keys in WP Full Stripe

Prerequisites

You need a Google account to use Google reCaptcha.
(Personal and G Suite accounts can be used as well)

Register your website for Google reCaptcha

You can register your website by following these steps:

  1. Go to the Google reCaptcha page, and sign in
  2. Create a reCaptcha for your website
  3. Configure reCaptcha options
    (type: reCaptcha v2, modality: “I’m not a robot checkbox” or “Invisible reCaptcha badge”)
  4. Write down the API keys

This is how registering your website looks like with screenshots:

1) Go to the Google reCaptcha page, and sign in

2) Create a reCaptcha for your website

3) Configure reCaptcha options, and save yor settings

4) Write down the API keys

Configure Google reCaptcha in WP Full Stripe

You can configure captcha related settings on the “Full Stripe / Settings / Users” page in WP admin.

If you choose to secure either inline forms or the “Manage subscriptions” page (or both) then the Google reCaptcha API key fields become visible and you can enter the keys: WP Full Stripe - Configure Google reCaptcha API keys

Save your settings, and your forms will be secured by Google reCaptcha.
